Shakespeare Retelling, YA:

I am querying my contemporary YA Shakespeare retelling, woven with elements of magic. Feedback on the novel has been wonderful and one day it will be traditionally published – please send good vibes!

Novel in the Rocky Mountains, YA (Work-in-Progress): 

I am currently writing a contemporary YA novel that takes place in Banff, Alberta. In my early twenties I worked a summer in that small town in the Rockies, and it holds a special place in my heart.

Picture Books:

I love writing for young kids and have one book, close to my heart, coming out in 2027, and several that are submission ready: 

• ·Forthcoming: A story about a girl and her sea captain father inspired by true events (Owlkids - Spring, 2027) 

• A story about overcoming fear that takes place in Antarctica (longlisted CANSCAIP’s Writing for Children Competition, 2020)

• a unique Portuguese folktale retelling about a determined chick that must meet the king (longlisted CANSCAIP’s Writing for Children Competition, 2019)

Works-In-Progress and ready soon!:

• a Portuguese Christmas story with a satisfying character arc

• a Portuguese-Canadian immigrant story with a unique twist
